Restoring Memories: How to Enhance and Fix Old Family Photos

The Restoration Workflow

Step 1: Sharpen with AI Upscaler

Old scans are often low resolution.

• Upload your scan to the AI Image Upscaler.
• Choose 4x. The AI will not only increase the size but also reduce noise and sharpen facial details.

Step 2: Clean Up Scratches

If the photo has dust spots, creases, or scratches:

• Carefully paint over the cracks or scratches. The AI will fill them in with the surrounding texture (skin, clothes, or background).

Step 3: Frame It
