How do I crop an image for Instagram?
Upload your image, and use the crop box. For Instagram Squares, try to make the box square (1:1). For Stories, make it a tall rectangle (9:16). We are adding preset buttons for these soon!
Does cropping reduce image resolution?
Yes, naturally. When you crop an image, you are removing pixels, so the resulting image will have smaller dimensions than the original. However, the quality (sharpness) of the remaining area stays the same.
Can I undo a crop?
Before you download, you can always readjust the crop box or click 'Cancel' to reset the image to its original state. Once downloaded, you still have your original file safe on your computer.
